Larning 2.0--First assignment
These are not my first blog postings. Some of you may know that the SCLD Intranet is based on blogging software. This input window looks pretty much like the one we use to post our news on the Intranet.
In the first assignment, we are asked to react to the 7.5 habits of highly effective lifelong learners:
I think the easiest habit for me is #6: Use technology to your advantage. I have always been drawn to computer technology--probably the reason I have the job I do.
The hardest is #1: Begin with the end in mind. Some times I learn things which have no apparent use at the time. I sometimes have to go back and figure out something cool to do with a new skill or capability. Sometimes it takes a while.

Why Spokice?
Spokice is my fall-back e-mail handle. I began using it in 1995 when I first signed up to use AOL. Having a common word for a last name--Ice--made it really hard to find a short user name with all of the users AOL already had in 1995. Putting our home town and last name together did the trick. It worked again with Blogger.
